Quadruped Policies

Cancellations:
Cancellations must be confirmed 24 hours prior to the scheduled date to avoid a charge to your invoice.  The only exception is an emergency. In the event of an emergency, cancellation must be confirmed no later than 8:00am of the scheduled date to avoid being charged.

Availability:
We recommend booking one week in advance to secure desired dates for pet care. Last minute requests will be accommodated if availability exists.

Group Walks (Pick Up & Drop Off):
Dogs that are a part of group walks are away from their home approximately 2-2 hours on average. Every effort will be made to pick up & drop off your pet at the scheduled time, however due to traffic considerations a 30 minute window of flexibility will apply to scheduled pick up & drop off times.

Transportation for Vet & Grooming Visits:
Quadruped offers transportation for Vet and grooming visits. Pet owners are responsible for making & confirming the appointments.  A check or cash should be available for the vet or groomer prior to the visit.

Key Return:
Please do not provide Quadruped with a key ring (charm) that is special or sentimental to you. At times they are not securely attached to the ring & we will not be responsible for them if lost.  We would prefer to receive keys only that we can attach to a more secure master ring.

A) A pet sitter will take a copy of the key upon initial meeting.

B) In the event that Quadruped is not keeping a key for future visits, the options for key return are:

  • Leaving the key in your home on the last visit with the door locked.
  • Mailing your key to you after the last visit.
  • Coming to our home office in person to retrieve the key.
  • Paying a $10.00 fee for the key to be transported to you in person once you return.

Cell Phone Numbers:
The cell phone numbers provided are for emergency only.  Any changes, additions, or cancellations to the schedule phoned in to the office number (510) 268-WOOF or emailed to
lpjs@earthlink.net.  Please do not call the cell phones to discuss changes. 

Payment:
For regular weekly clients we invoice the last day of every month. For pet sitting visits we leave the invoice on the last visit. Payment is due upon receipt so our expectation is that we receive your payment in full no later than seven days after the invoice date.  Late payment will result in a required pre-payment for future pet sitting & dog walking. There will be a $25.00 fee for all returned checks.
